She is a new qualified teacher in a secondary school. One of the classes she teaches includes Stephen. When she started to break-out she was able to pick up Stephen's telepathy with John and Tim, initially she thought Stephen was trying to trick her by imitating people.

She is normally very sensible, but does sometimes becomes emotionally involved in problems which leads her to take risks.

One of the crew of the Ship. He is the son of the Momma and the brother of Emily.

As the only man on board he has to follow the orders of the Momma, including fetching and carrying for the Momma and Emily. On a trip to Earth he finds that not all men have to obey the women, and decides that he would like to stay. He ends up as a traffic warden.

One of the crew of the Ship. The daughter of the Momma, and sister of Elmer. She will be the next Momma.

While the Ship is orbiting the Earth she meets John and decides that she would like him as her pair mate. She ends up as a landlady in a pub.

Tyso's sister. She does not show any signs of breaking-out.
