Slang term for Teleporting.
A
device used to boost the teleporting
range of the Tomorrow People.
Without the boost the Tomorrow People can only jaunt a few miles at a time.
The belts and bands are controlled by Tim,
when his external connections are deactivated the belts and bands do not work.
If a Tomorrow Person uses a jaunting belt or band to teleport Tim can trace
the destination. It appears that to activate the belt or band the Tomorrow
Person must touch the buckle or pad. Tim can remotely activate a belt or band
even if the wearer is unconscious.
There have been three different designs of belt/band. The first was a black belt with a grey buckle. The second was also a black belt, but had a black and white checker board buckle. The third was a wrist band about the size of a wrist watch, it was made of a semi-rigid plastic with a coloured pad where the watch face would be.
The
form that the Ballboids took when they
started their take-over of the Earth. They are supposed to be made from a
fabric called Bubble Skin. The jump
suits quickly became very popular.
They are so comfortable that the wearer does not want to take the jump suit off. It quickly becomes attached to the wearer's skin, and can not be easily removed. The jump suit also takes control of the wearer.
