A group of inhabited planets in the Elfa system, of which Regoraa is a member. They are beyond the outer ranges of the Galactic Federation and are all closed worlds. It is believed that they are quite technically advanced, certainly more advanced than the Earth. Little else is known about the planets or the inhabitants.
The
method used by the monks of the Shansu
sect that they believe allows a Child God
to be re-incarnated. The re-birth ceremony normally takes place just before
the god reaches maturity, at approximately 16 years old.
At the re-birth ceremony the god is tied to a large metal rack. The rack is lowered over a fire, and the god burns to death. To be re-born the body must be completely destroyed, "so that not one hair of the head shall remain".
If the god is not re-born they become mortal.
A technique that can be used to give someone a lot of information quickly. One application is to counteract indoctrination, and was used on Douglas and Paul against the Doomsday Men. They were able to see that war was bad and people died. They were then able to decide whether they wanted to stay with the Doomsday Men.
A planet in the Raagus 7 Group. Their leader Tirayaan, is considered divine, with special powers endowed by their god the Great Sitaan.
The planet has a number of Chiefs who report to Tirayaan. The Chiefs became disenchanted with the leadership and plotted to over throw Tirayaan by killing him and his son Kwaan.
A
large space ship from the planet Regoraa.
Can be used for interstellar journeys. It contains one small shuttle
craft. It generates a force field that extends for a large distance around
the ship. The force field prevents the Tomorrow
People communicating telepathically
and jaunting.
A
small shuttle craft that can carry a few people (at least 6) over quite large
(interstellar) distances. The shuttle craft is carried by the father-ship.
A planet 30 light years from Earth. Stephen has visited to the planet, and recognised a picture painted by Robert as a typical scene from the planet.
A powerful weapon developed by the Thargons. It can only be used in space as an atmosphere can cause a backwash that can destroy a small island.
